SPONSORING DOGS FOR AUTISM
Here at Posh Poos, we have been raising dogs for most of our lives. My family and I are dedicated to raising healthy, well socialised, loving family members in a clean, happy environment from vet approved, health tested parents.
Our dogs are part of our family, and are treated as such. We give our dogs the best care they deserve, and regularly visited by our trusted and respected veterinary practitioner, are given the best quality nutrition, have regular grooming, dental care and vaccination.
Our parent dogs health and temperament are of the utmost importance to us.
Relevant health testing, socialisation and above all, LOVE, ensure that we produce the most healthy, calm, confident puppies possible. Many of our puppies go on to live in homes where they help people and enrich people’s lives by becoming therapy and education assistance dogs. We are so incredibly proud of them!
Above all, our dogs are very sociable not only within our own family and friends but they meet lots of new people on our regular outings to various parks and the beautiful lake near to our home. They play, they socialise, they get dirty, they do what dogs love to do!
As licensed breeders , we are council and veterinary inspected, and are required to follow strict welfare practises.
We are specialists in Maltipoo and Cavapoochon puppies, and do not produce any other breeds. We pride ourselves on our excellent reputation, and are ALWAYS available to offer advice or support, and will be for a lifetime. Please do NOT support ‘puppy mills’ or ‘backyard breeders’. Wherever you choose to buy your new family member, please always choose professional, licensed breeders whom dedicate their lives to their dogs and their welfare. We rescue and rehome when we can, and support dog rescue charities.
Our council license number is available upon request.
From the moment our puppies come into the world, until the bittersweet day that we say goodbye to them, we are preparing them for their future. The nerves and excitement are the same with every litter that we welcome into the world! We stay with are mums constantly in the early days after the birth, and are gently handling them whilst we weigh them and ensure they are feeding correctly. This is a very special time for us and the puppies, and so the socialisation process has already began.
Gently handling them daily when they are newborn, introducing them to new faces as their eyes open, to introducing them to new sounds (washing machines, vacuum cleaners, fireworks etc), regular grooming and providing a variety of toys and games, ensure that they are confident, calm and well rounded.
Our puppies love to play, and play they do! Our children love nothing more than to spend the time playing and making up games for the puppies. Our puppies also love tv, especially cartoons with silly voices! Our puppies simply adore children, and this is important to us as so many of our little ones go to live with families with young children.
Our puppies will receive regular vet checks, to ensure they are perfectly healthy and flourishing.
We begin puppy pad training as soon as they start to move around and explore the world outside of their den. Many of our puppies are fully house trained within a couple of days of leaving us, and many more never even have a accident from the day they arrive at their new homes.
Our puppies will begin a worming programme from only a few weeks old, which will continue until they leave us.
They are flea treated (as a precaution) and groomed regularly.
Our puppies will receive their first vaccination at 8 weeks old, as well as their microchip. A record of this will be given to their new owners.
We begin the homing process long before our litter have even arrived!
Many of our puppies are placed with families through recommendation, and we receive so many messages and calls from people that have met one of our adult dogs or puppies in exotic destinations all over the world and have simply fallen in love with their looks and personality.
Before our puppies are born, we ask interested families to send us a detailed description of their family, lifestyle, workhours, care plan etc.. We are of course looking for families that can provide a 5* home, and a lifetime of love to our little ones. You will be asked questions about your previous and current dogs, if you have a fenced garden, if you plan to spray or neuter etc.. We want the best for them, and we always agree to take them back if you can no longer care for them. We are here for you with future questions or concerns. We are here for you with a lifetime of support!
Once our litter arrive, and they are thriving, we begin to consider homes for them.
To secure one of our puppies, we ask for a non refundable deposit.
We then send regular updates and pictures to the reserved puppies families.
We are always available to answer any questions or queries before and after you collect your puppy, to help make the transition as perfect and smooth as possible.
Each of our puppies will come with a puppy contract, and guarantee that they leave us in 100% perfect health.
This is to give their new owners complete piece of mind. We offer a lifetime of support and advice and are always at the end of phone. We do hope that new owners will keep in touch, and send us updates and news of milestones in our puppies lives. We genuinely want to know about them learning new commands, passing their puppy school exams, their birthdays and holidays! We promise to always care.
